Nebraska's ballot is beef, dough, and one productive Omaha hotel, which claims both the Reuben Sandwich and Butter Brickle Ice Cream. The Omaha Steak made the state a mail-order name, with the Steak Finger Basket and the Hot Beef Sundae serving the same animal far more casually. Czech and German kitchens contribute the Runza and the Kolache. Lincoln invented the Cheese Frenchee, a deep-fried grilled cheese. Corn on the Cob and Caramel Corn finish it.
